Thank you to all those men and women of the armed forces who are serving, have served, and paid the ultimate price for our nation to keep this country and others oppressed free. Lest we neither long remember nor soon forget.

Well said JB. I would like to extend my thanks also and as a veteran, a humble thanks to you.

I told my dad thanks one time, when I was sixteen, for fighting in WW11. He told me "I didn't do it for thanks,I did do it for you kids and because it was the right thing to do".

You remember when TV would play the National Anthem at the end of programming for the day? I used to stand up and sing along. I wonder what happened to that type of patriotism?

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day. It is a great country.

Jack

Thanks for posting that JB. I'm not sure why but I pretty much avoid all the usual 'holiday talk' in the actual newsletter. But I have to say, I really am so very greatful for those who have served and who serve to protect our country.

People can complain all day long about our country and yet its that very freedom to complain that many men and women died for...if only the complainers could see that.
